Sometimes we keep thinking about our ideas… over and over… But nothing really changes until we actually do something about them. One of the easiest (yet most ignored) steps? Just reaching out. Not to pitch. Not to beg. Just to talk. To ask. To learn.
💬 Cold Texting? That’s Just a Fancy Word
It simply means messaging someone you don’t know — on LinkedIn, mail, social media — wherever you find them.
It could be:
– A founder you admire
– Someone working in your dream company
– A designer, coder, builder who’s doing cool things
You don’t need a perfect profile. You don’t need to wait till your idea is “ready.” You just need to say: “Hey, I’m working on something and I’d love to hear your thoughts.” That’s it.
🌱 What It Can Do
You get:
🔹 Clarity
🔹 Real feedback
🔹 Direction
🔹 Sometimes even an opportunity
And more than anything — confidence. Because now, you’ve acted. You moved a little closer. And that matters more than waiting for the “right time.”
🧠 How to Say It
Don’t complicate. Don’t overthink. Just try writing something like this:
- Who you are (student/early-stage builder)
- Why you’re writing (appreciate their work, need advice, want feedback)
- What you’re building/doing (keep it crisp and real)
- What you’re asking (1 small thing — feedback, a 10-min chat, link to a resource)
Short. Honest. Not perfect. But real.
🛠 You Don’t Need Fancy Stuff to Start
No investor. No team. No grand pitch.
Just one message. One person. One reply that might open something new.
That’s how it starts for a lot of us. That’s how it could start for you too.
